Emergency Information

Murray School has a disaster plan in the event of an emergency situation. This is a districtwide program designed to provide temporary shelter and assistance to our students. Regular drills are held to assure that students and staff are aware of thir roles in an emergency situation. During an actual emergency, gates will be locked and students will be released from the kindergarten gate in front of the office. Students will only be released to parents or agents listed on the emergency card. However, during a lockdown, gates will be locked and no one may leave or enter the campus until law enforcement deems the situation to be safe.

Homework

Murray School believes that homework is an opportunity to promote teacher/parent/child relationships. By working together we can develop the whole child through activities that reinforce integral parts of the individual classroom curriculum. Homework will be assigned 4 to nights per week. The daily amount of time for homework will vary from time to time with various assignments.

Report Cards

Reports will be set home at the end of the second, third and fourth quarters. The first will consist of a 3-Way Goal Setting Conference in November. This conference will include the teacher, parent and student together setting goals for the school year.
